Martha Ruiz Jiménez serves as the Vice Chair of Communications for the DC Young Republicans (DCYRs). Prior to that, she served as Deputy National Committeewoman of the Young Republican Federation of Puerto Rico (YRFPR).
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Martha has always been interested in Politics but it wasn’t until she learned about Ron and Rand Paul’s movements that she decided to get more involved. Martha realized that she has always agreed with the vision of the Republican Party and wanted to ensure a more prosperous future for America.

In 2011, Martha decided to take a walk around Old San Juan and she ended up at the Young Republican National Federation (YRNF) Convention, where she met other republicans from many states, including the ones in Puerto Rico. After such a wonderful event Martha became a member of the Young Republican Federation of Puerto Rico (YRFPR) and the Republican Party of Puerto Rico.

From 2014 to 2015, Martha served as the Secretary for San Juan’s 4rd Precinct of the Republican Party of Puerto Rico and helped re-charter the YRFPR in 2015, where she would go on to serve as Deputy National Committeewoman. In 2016, Martha served as the Puerto Rico Outreach Coordinator for the Trump campaign in Puerto Rico, where she reaffirmed her passion for politics.  Months after, she took a leap of faith and moved to Washington, D.C.

Martha has a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. In addition to her work with the DCYRs, Martha works as a Staff Assistant at The Livingston Group, a lobbying firm in Washington, D.C.
