Kory Boone is a native of Prince George’s County, Maryland. Kory graduated from Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation, Kory returned to his home state of Maryland accepting a position with Prince George’s County Public Schools in the Information Technology department. Kory’s interest in politics began during the last year of college. Raised as a Democrat and a Christian, Kory began to see that his values aligned with the principles of the Republican Party. Four years ago Kory wanted to get further involved in the Republican Party and saw the YRNF as an excellent opportunity to get involved. However there was not an active YR chapter in his beloved Maryland, so Kory joined the DCYR’s.

In 2013, Kory was elected to the DCYR’s executive board and served as the Communications Chair. Kory has also volunteered his time and talent on numerous local, state and federal races. In 2014, Kory was appointed to the Prince George’s County Central Committee and ran for State Senate in District 25. As time went on, Kory realized that he needed to step up and help build the YRNF in Maryland.

The following year, Kory was elected chairman of the Maryland Young Republicans, and currently serving the 2nd year of his first term. Within the first year of his term, he increased the number of active YRs from the teens to over a hundred, from one chapter to seven, and more than doubled Facebook “likes” from 600 to over 1400. In May 2016, the Maryland Republican Party elected Kory as a delegate to the RNC convention. Kory believes in and understands the importance of the grassroots and building our Republican base. Additionally, Kory firmly believes in supporting our Party’s nominees and elected officials.
